- This new version doesn’t include that many new features, but it’s the foundation for cool upcoming stuff
- Added a new, more “social” feedback reporting system (work on this is still in progress). I hope this’ll make it easier to help you and fix bugs / include features you report.
- New trackpad gestures (Two Finger Swipe From Edge) that behave like the Notification Center gesture in Mountain Lion (You swipe with two fingers beginning from the very edge of the trackpad)
- Included support for the upcoming BetterTouchTool iPhone / iPad Remote, but as the BTT Remote app is not yet available in the App StoreĀ it’s still deactivated
- Added a Predefined Action for the Notification Center
- Added predefined action to toggle between normal and big mouse cursor
- Added Predefined Actions to change the brightness of an external monitor
- Bugfixes
- There’ll be more soon! I was quite busy during the last few weeks implementing the BTT iPhone Remote and working on my Master’s Thesis

Thanks, the new actions are awesome.
I was wondering if there was a way to map the new dictation feature to a trackpad gesture. I tried customizing the shortcut and assigning it to a gesture, but it doesn’t seem to work. A predefined action would be better as I also would prefer to be able to keep the double Fn key tap shortcut.

@JP I’m experimenting with that, will probably be integrated with the next update.

I have been experiencing frequent dropped connection between my trackpad and my mac since updating to BTT 0.78. I’m on Lion 10.7.5 and since updating the other day my trackpad has been losing connection to my mac every couple of minutes, is this something unique to me or are others have a similar issue.

@Kevin, as far as I can tell BTT can’t cause disconnects. Have you tried replacing the batteries?

Hi Andreas
My batteries are recharables and they usually work right up until 20% charge or so and right now its at 60%. Also it was when I updated to .08 not .78 that this began to happen.

have you tried quitting BTT? Does it still happen then?

“Two finger swipe from left edge” cannot be used.
After setting it, “two finger swipe from left edge” will induce “two finger swipe from top & bottom edge” also, but I swipe from left edge clearly.
How to solve the problem please?

hi andreas, the new two finger swipe from edge are really fantastic gestures!..
i have a problem: right, left and bottom edges work well, while the “two finger swipe from TOP edge” never triggers.. and i can’t understand why..
thank for your work and your help!

I am working on a MacBook Pro (Mid 2009) via a Remote Desktop Connection.
The Viewer is a Mac mini (Mid 2011).
Via Remote Desktop Connection, the Window snapping doesn’t seem to work. Even in Full Screen Mode.
Am I missing something?

I can’t find the predefined action to change the brightness of an external monitor. Is it hidden somewhere?

Will the iPhone remote’s protocol spec be available? I’d like to see an android remote app since I don’t own an iPhone, but I don’t want to apply any pressure onto developing an android app yourself.

@a jerk, not sure yet, currently the protocol is pretty Cocoa specific (e.g. using archived NSDictionaries to talk between the devices.
but then again, I’d like to try out Android development by myself sometime…
Maybe the next iteration will be more generic though

Does anyone else have the issues of a four-finger swipe triggering the two-finger swipe in the same direction? Is there a way to configure the app to prevent this?
