This version should allow you to use the magic trackpad and the magic mouse at the same time. This is an important step because now I can optimze the gestures for the magic trackpad and for the normal trackpad seperately. (I may introduce a seperate tab for the magic trackpad soon)
There are still some known issues
- apple three finger dragging is disabled while BTT is running
- two finger tiptaps don’t register always on some systems ( currently investigating here)
- “single finger top taps” don’t work perfectly on the magic trackpad yet
- application switcher doesn’t work very good atm
- tipswipe makes the mouse cursor move

Please leave option to NOT have trackpad and magic trackpad have separate options. I’d really like to keep these gestures in sync, so I know *one* set of gestures, whether using Macbook Pro while traveling, or while at home connected to large monitor— thanks for all your work on this great app!

yep I thought about this too. I’ll add this.

OMG! Without this software I would be taking the Magic Trackpad back to the store immediately! WITH your software, this is the most incredible input device I’ve ever used!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

Hi,
as always, great work,
What about being able to set the same gesture, let’s say 3 finger swipe down to open different apps according to what space you are in,
let’s say you use internet in space 1, 3 finger down and internet opens up
then in space 2, 3 finger down would open pages and so on,
I am sure this would be a application launcher you could develop within btt
Thanks,
Teo

Am I the only one who can’t get keyboard shortcuts mapped to multi-finger gestures or not?

You are truly amazing! Without your work my trackpad would be on it’s way back to Apple. Thanks a million for your tireless efforts.

@AWar: after latest update, my different gestures are working again
on MM vs MT. But defining pinch in as cmd opt minus/pinch out as
cmd opt equals on the MT doesn’t work for me. Don’t know if I should
have pinch gestures enabled or disabled on Apple trackpad preferences…

more: 0.597 seems to have broken two-finger scroll on MT. pinch gesture mapping apparently does work if pinch gesture is enabled in Apple trackpad prefs.
Also, I don’t see Zoom in/Zoom out predefined actions for the trackpad.
For the MM, I had pinch gestures mapped to Zoom in/Zoom out for global, to be overridden for apps that could do their own zoom (usually with cmd minus/cmd equals), since having the app zoom gives better resolution. For instance, Safari or Preview can zoom that way, but one doesn’t want to do that in TextEdit because that alters the text.

ok, this is crazy. I just added pinch in/pinch out gestures for Safari to do apple default or nothing, and now two finger scroll works again. Confusing…
Still, I’m quite optimistic that it’ll all be sorted out in due time.
