BetterTouchTool Add comments

This is only for people who already installed the trackpad update

Three Finger Click and Four Finger Click are not supported in this version. (you should remove them from your gesture list for now)
Should fix three finger taps, four finger taps, three finger tiptaps, two finger tiptaps and normal tiptaps, also may prevent the scrolling while doing a four finger swipe

This is definitely ALPHA and only people who updated to the new trackpad software and now can’t use many of their gestures should try it.

Please report any problems you encounter!!

Ich habe einen MBP mit 10.6.4 und dem neuen Touchpad-Update, BTT 0.587, und bei mir tun es 3-F-Tap, 3-F-Click, und 4-F-Tap wie gehabt.

In den Systemeinstellungen habe ich alle 2-Finger-Optionen an, bei 3-Finder “Navigieren durch Wischen” aktiviert, und beide 4-Finger-Optionen ausgemacht.

Soll ich jetzt auf das neuen BTT updaten oder nicht?

I have the exact same settings as Falk and the 3-Finger Clicks are working as usual with BTT 0.591.

Yes but they’ll conflict with the other gestures mentioned in the post. E.g two finger tiptaps

Hi Andreas,

I use ’3-Finger Click’ for ‘Middle Click’ in Firefox and also have “Two Finger TipTap Left’ for reloading the page and they both work as expected. Maybe I’m just lucky…

By the way, if it wasn’t clear from my previous comments, I have installed the new track pad drivers.

Fixed my normal tip-tap issue.

Everything is back to normal with this alpha version.

Flawless so far.

BUG here!
I put two fingers tiptap (both left and right) for Application Switcher.

With trackpad update and latest alpha, i can still trigger the switcher but cannot browse by tapping again, i.e. without lifting the 2 other fingers. I can only browse it
by moving the fingers. WAY less handy.

Nothing else to report, everything seems fine otherwise. Thanks for the lightning fast update!

Installed the Magic Trackpad system update this morning, was dismayed to discover my three finger tiptaps were broken. Thanks for such a speedy update, I’ve grown far too dependent on this wonderful application to live without it!!

After a few hours with the new better touch tool alpha, I found out that my normal tip tap issue (setting it to open link in new tab in safari, which is equal to predefined command + click) still exist, but only occasionally when I do the tip-tap on the bookmarks bar.

Doesn't happen everytime, but I would say it's more than half of the time.

Never happen when tip-tap on the link in any webpages.
