Apple just released an update which enables momentum scrolling for older macbooks (and is needed for the magic trackpad)
(I told you they’ll release momentum scrolling sooner or later
Get it here:

//the three finger dragging breaks three finger click feature of BTT (or the three finger click feature of BTT breaks the three finger dragging), but imho apple missed the point with three finger dragging. I thought it will allow you to drag windows around without grabbing them at their title but it doesn’t. So whats the advantage of using it instead of doubletap to drag? I don’t get it.
I’ll try to create a trackpad gesture which allows dragging windows around without fetching them at the top (like it’s already possible with the magic mouse, use two finger touch top and start/stop moving to achieve that)

Does BetterTouchTool still work after the update?

yes it does

works but i think three finger gestures are broken

I think the three-finger drag gesture is just right. I know my wife is constantly complaining about trying to drag things around with her trackpad; she just can’t get the click-and-hold then drag thing working. I think teaching her to just “drag” things with three fingers will be a lot easier.
The video of the feature is misleading, in that it looks like you can be pointing anywhere in a window to drag that window around (like fn-control drags with BTT), but if that was really all that three-finger drags could do I’d find it next to useless. I drag many things around the desktop ever day; only very seldom are those things top-level windows!

Also, I can’t get BTT to work at all after the update, and having BTT turned on disables the new gestures from the Apple pref pane as well!

@Tom I think thats if you are using the gesture “three finger click”..
Apple broke quite a few gestures, e.g.
three finger click
all two finger tiptaps
three finger tiptaps

Hey,
After installing the Apple update today and enabling the three-finger drag option from the Trackpad preference pane (using a late 2008 mbp), I see that it disables the One Finger “Dragging” option found in the same pref pane. Enabling either will disable the other.
Do you know if this is some limitation of the hardware, or would it be possible to enable both with BTT?

Three finger swipes and clicks are working for me (at least after the update that just went out, didn’t have the new driver before). Anyway, I was just wondering if there were any plans to add the ability to adjust the level of inertia? I’m sure you’re probably busy fixing things at the moment, but it would be a nice feature for the future, if it’s possible.
Thanks (and love BTT, btw).

Yeah, Apple screwed up my two finger tip-taps. It’s quite annoying, especially since the update isn’t even good. Is there any way to uninstall the update?

@Alejo, have you downloaded the most current alpha from http://blog.boastr.net ? should fix it.

Andreas, I just saw it, and it works perfectly
You’re brilliant, thanks!
