I still don’t have time for anything (see last blogpost) but here a testing version with a few bugfixes. (it’s not on alpha update, you have to download it manually)
- rotate & zoom sensitivity for touchpad should now work (but you may have to change the default values)
- fixed various bugs & conflicting gestures, especially on the touchpad. (e.g. 3 finger tiptaps, 2 finger tiptaps, five finger click etc. sometimes triggered accidentally or conflicted)
- tapping with the magic mouse should now work even if you are touching the touchpad at the same time
- window moving & resizing bugs, e.g. windows should now be brought to front correctly if selected
//edit: testing3, may fix problem with 3 finger swipes introduced in testing1
//edit: testing4, adds single finger touch top for window moving or resizing and should fix some bugs.
//edit: put it to autoupdate as 0.5156 (0.5156 should fix problem with standard zoom events passing through)

Rotate & zoom sensitivity = great! Definitely work.
I think maybe 3 finger tiptaps are working a bit better too…
I noticed, by the way, the the ctrl+drag window moving seems *tries* to move my WinXP windows in Unity view of VMware Fusion – the windows shudder as I do it, but stick where they are. It’s like trying to drag them but they’re elastically glued down

4f swipe sometimes trigger 3f tip tap in a very weird reaction style.
like it trigger more than once instantly.

Zoom sensitivity- GREAT!
Two suggestions:
- I expected larger number to be faster
- Can it be just a little more fast at the extreme value?

First off, THANK YOU.
There are allot of people counting on you, as you truely have unleashed the glory of the magic mouse.
I have one issue with the magic mouse witch i don’t understand you haven’t addressed though.
Snow leopards mouse acceleration is ridiculous if you like high tracking speeds.
Is this something that is possible for BTT to support?
I’ve tried addressing this issue with different drivers as the API scaling (mouse acceleration) was dropped in snow leopard but sadly your beautiful tool stops working.
Sorry if this isn’t the right place for requests.

Couldn’t get 3 finger swipe up to work consistently with .5155test1 so I went back to .5154 and everything works great again.

Well unfortunately testing2 has the same problem with 3 finger “up swipes” not working. That’s O.K. though .5154 is very stable here, get through your exams first then worry about it.
Only 2 weeks then to go then (oops sorry).

Hi, i have a little issue… When i use BTT and my Magic Mouse i try to hold keys ALT and OPT to enable resizing feature and move my cursor or my finger on the mouse surface but nothing happen…. Did i miss something ? Thank you for your help !

@Vince on the magic mouse you have to use three finger touch top and two finger touch top with predefined actions start / stop resizing or moving

Ich bring das mit dem zoomen nicht hin, geht irgendwie nicht, mach ich was falsch? Nett wäre ein kleine Gebrauchsanweisung wie alles funktioniert und für was man es gebrauchen könnte.
Ansonsten ein sehr geiles tool genau das was man sucht für die magic mouse !

Hey Andreas. The single touch at top works very well for the moving/resizing windows features, but I’m wonder why you don’t just have the option for it to activate when you just move the window to the side of the screen normally? That is how it works in Windows 7.

@Henne should work with zoom in / out predefined actions in combination with pinch in and out.
@Ben I’ll add this sometime, but it works a bit different than with the window moving stufff, thus I didn’t include it yet.

@Henne if it beeps it doesn’t use the predefined actions I think. Are you sure you have set zoom in and zoom out instead of just using cmd + and cmd -?

One useful feature: ability to close BetterTouchTool window (but not quitting the application) with CMD-W.

I usually 1) put index finger on the track pad and 2) using ring finger, swipe up to rotate left and swipe down to rotate right.
With BTT 0.5156, I have to move the index finger at the same time to activate rotation.
Is this an intentional change?

Three finger click no longer works with new update to show spaces?? Has happened on both computers that I have installed this update on, help!!!

I can also confirm that three finger click doesn’t work any more. Instead, three finger clicking results in three finger tapping, at least with me, as I had configured three finger clicking as well as tapping.
gone back to version 5145 now.
