- Touchpad: Bottom Left/Middle/Right tap (really at the bottom, I always tap half on the touchpad, half on the aluminium and for me it works well)
- Touchpad: 5 finger swipes (some of you wanted it
I just hacked them in and hope they are working.
Note: five finger swipes will only work reliably if you disable the original 4 finger swipes in your system preferences and set custom ones with BTT

Hi, I would like to ask what would be the best movements on magic mouse to rotate images? what solution do tou suggest?
December 15th, 2009 at 11:11 pm
Asked this yesterday, but I think it was overseen in all the other questions.
Is it possible to add “speed of trackpad” as well. Would be awesome. Thanks.

guten abend andreas…
was ist eigentlich aus deiner idee geworden die magic mouse als „remote“ zu benutzen? du hattest die idee in einem älteren post schonmal beschrieben.
danke
December 15th, 2009 at 11:14 pm
@eyekey oh yes, I’ll add that
December 15th, 2009 at 11:15 pm
@basti hab den code dafür noch, aber es ist noch nicht so perfekt, werd mir da mal noch gedanken darüber machen. Viele “remote funktionen kann man ja auch schon mit den derzeit verfügbaren gesten abdecken.

5-finger swipes aren’t really registering- either the focus goes off of my current window entirely or it defaults to the 4-finger swipe gesture. 5-finger tap still works fine.
December 15th, 2009 at 11:53 pm
@mike what actions have you set for the 5 finer swipes?
December 16th, 2009 at 12:16 am
any chance of adding a “left click and hold” action? – use case would be three finger click and hold down would activate a continuous click and drag mode
thanks for your great work

Oh my god, seriously, you are the fucking GOD.
This app is more than magnific. Apple had to learn about you.
Excuse my English…
Could you program the left/right sides too? How do you do?
Thank you and, please go like this way, you are the best Andreas!!
(from Barcelona!)

instead of putting the five swipes you can put the diagonal swipes with 2, 3 and 4 finger for touchpad i think it is very useful!
thanks for this app!!! is the best application for mac!!!

I have the default four finger swipe up/down set and my five finger swipe up works every time but it sometimes it also enables Show Desktop or does Show Desktop and immediately disables it.
December 16th, 2009 at 1:00 am
@SaiZn would be great if you’d test if this happens with non default 4 finger swipes too
December 16th, 2009 at 1:03 am
When I start 0.430, I’m getting the following error in a pop up dialog box:
“Persistent store migration failed, missing source managed object model.”
Once OK is clicked, BTT goes on as usual
December 16th, 2009 at 1:04 am
@Stewart, does this happen always or only on the first start? Do you have an other instance of BTT running in the background (check via activity monitor)
December 16th, 2009 at 1:45 am
seems like the trackpad has already overpower MM in user experience now.

Just wanted to say that I installed your utility the other day and am getting around to experimenting with it. Very wicked! Amazing work.

Hi all, For me, 5 fingers swipe is working very good. I’ve set it for CONTROL+ARROW (up, down, left, right), for switching between spaces.
It even works if I hold a thumb click then swipe 5 fingers to move a window to another space. Really Outstanding, Congratulations again Andreas.
Thank you!
share your gestures at: bttopia.webs.com it’s easy and free!

Five finger swipe works fine when four finger swipes are set in BTT. I guess I’ll just set Show Desktop and Exposé in BTT.

Hi, I just wanted to say that when I try to swipe right/left with two fingers the tipTap right/left often get triggered. I notice that because I have close/minimize on those and it happens really often. BTW this is the best app ever seriously man u deserve an award for this app it’s genius.
December 16th, 2009 at 2:25 am
@Andreas
I found I had an early version of BTT still in my Login Items, so there were two instances starting up – early version + 0.430.
Once earlier version was closed, all was fine.
Thanks
Stewart

Ah perfect! Thanks for testing!
December 16th, 2009 at 3:03 am
Hi Andreas, 5 finger swipes are not working for me either – left and right for spaces like Rafa. But I think its because I haven’t deactivated 4 finger swipes in the Apple Preferences. Will test and let you know.
December 16th, 2009 at 3:07 am
Yes, as I suspected (and SaiZn says above). Shame that we can’t get the swipe up/down smoothness of default 4 finger swipes, but not the end of the world.
Although, I thought you were working on something like that?
December 16th, 2009 at 3:25 am
Well I just decided to not use five finger swipes and keep the default four finger swipes so I can still drag a file in Finder and use Exposé at the same time. You can’t seem to do that in BTT since five finger swipes will also activate when you’re holding a file with one finger and swiping with four fingers.
Anyways, would you be able to add increment volume as predefined actions? It’s Shift + Option + Volume Up/Down
